Geocache Description:

2nd International Geocaching Day - Green Hill Park

Come out to Green Hill Provincial Picnic Park for a Geocaching Picnic to celebrate the 2nd International Geocaching Day Event, have some fun, meet the local and maybe not so local geocachers and earn a new souvenir for your geocaching profile page.

We will start about 5:00 pm with with a picnic and then have several geocaching games and wind-up before dusk. Participants will be asked to bring something for the BBQ

Since we are just starting to plan for this event, please watch for further details on the event page as the planning develops.

There will be several new caches released by Greenhill_man, in the area around Green Hill, slightly before the event

Geocaching Activities during Event (We are planning to give away prizes)

1) Identify that tree
2) Do you think you know the other GPS Coordinates - This may be a UTM - Ultimate Test Maybe
3) Projections - Like Them or Hate Them!
4) How Accurate do you think your GPS is?
5) Guess the Distance - Far - Close - Around!

Picnic Details

We would like to have everyone attending the picnic event to bring something for the picnic, e.g. salad, buns, hamburgers, hot dogs, bottled water, juice, even a BBQ, etc. When you log your attendance, please indicate in your log what food item you can bring to the event. If you have a specialty item, e.g. cookies, that will work also.

I will post on the event page what each geocachers will bring so that we will have minimum duplicates.
