Down Periscope Traditional Cache
obxgeek: I was able to get out on the water and check on this one and not only is the cache now gone but the pieces I used to attach it are no longer there either. I had brought along a new container assuming that if it was missing the weak point would be the container attaching to the tie down but it appears to be more than that so I am going to archive this one and go back to the drawing boards on a better way to anchor it.
This was a 4 difficulty hide and 5 terrain. Unfortunately there is no 10 terrain and you get the 5 terrain for needing a boat/swimming. I am glad someone got to find it and I got to learn some things about underwater caches in the moving tidal water.

This is a dive cache with the only approach by boat or swim. You will have to get out of your craft so if you are not comfortable swimming and treading water for an extended time in open water it may not be for you.
This is an easier dive cache. The posted coordinates will get you to the proper location then you will have to dive to locate the cache container under water.
You have to be comfortable with swimming underwater, holding your breath, and working for a while under water. You do not need SCUBA gear to complete this cache but you will get wet. Please do not attempt this cache unless you are prepaired to retrieve the cache and then return it properly. It will be hard work and will require multiple dives though they will be less than 10 feet of depth.
This is a dry dive cache meaning you will need to dive to the cache, retrieve the container, surface to a boat, sign the log on the boat, close the cache up, return the cache and properly reattach it.
The container you are looking for is a regular size dry box.
As this cache requires boating, swimming and diving this cache may not be for everyone so please gauge your ability level and do not attempt this cache is you are not prepared or the weather or conditions are unsafe for you to attempt it.
