Thank you and happy caching from the Highland Haggi team.

To celebrate the creation of this section of the Haggis Highway events will take place on 13th and 14th October 2012.

The events are as follows:
Inverness ~ Dinner GC3PYR5 - Saturday 13th October from 17:00, 18:00 for dinner
Bridge of Brown ~ Lunch GC3PRW9 - Sunday 14th October from 12 noon ~16:00

A quick cache an dash at the end of Comar Bridge with limited parking for a short time in a muddy layby at the end of the bridge before joining the main road.

The bridge is constructed of concrete with steel beams, a common 1970/80's design with two spans.

A possible large military camp situated between the A831 public road that runs from Cannich to Comar Bridge and the River Glass. The camp is visible on oblique post-war RAF air photographs. Many Nissen and other types of huts can be seen along with a Mainhill S type aircraft hangar. The camp may have been built using ex-military hutting, to house workers for the various hydro-electric schemes that were under construction at the time of the photograph. The site today is occupied by new housing, a village hall and the Youth Hostel, which by the depiction on the most recent OS 1:10000 map (1971) has the same outline as that on the air photographs of 1950.
