Memories: Ready for take off Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Gerryu2: Very strange, There was a large green metal electric or phone cabinet in this layby but it seems to have been removed. I don't think there really is a safe decent spot to hide here anymore. Looks like I need to archive this one. sorry.

I'm happy for all the people below who have logged a DNF to change it to a find.

Apologies and happy caching.

Gerry

Geocache Description:

Part of a series of caches I'll be placing in Glasgow to share some of my childhood memories.  Thanks to CJDL and Clachanman who have agreed to be local maintainers if I can't get down to carry out maintenance.  Let's hope they can find it.

Childhood memory- when we went runs along the Stockiemuir road, I was always amazed to see these wee model airplanes flying around at this spot.  If you look across the road, you will see a flat grass strip which is a different colour to the rest of the plant life surrounding it.  This is the take off and landing strip for the planes.  The layby  with the cache may be full of cars depending on when they are flying.
