Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse was first lit in 1860. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area (JILONA) received its designation in 2008, one of only three such places in the United States. You can learn more and sign up for a lighthouse tour at the nearby museum.
