I never realized Verona Beach State Park contained about 1500 acres east of RT#13. It is generally flat and has some swampy areas along with several sandy walking trails to enjoy. Free parking is available until 8 or 9pm when the gate is closed for the night. Horses are allowed on these trails. Fishing is permitted in the small lake.
BYOP. I looked to my left and then my right and then back to the left again. Can't believe my eyes. There is an apple in a maple tree, VBSP sure grows odd things. It looks fragile so be gentle and remember to put things back as found. There are flying critters so bring spray. You are looking for an attached pill bottle about three times the size of a film canister. Verona Beach State Park permit # VB-002
