A great view of the windmills in Madison, NY as seen from State Route 20.
Due to health reasons, this geocache is up for adoption, please contact us if interested. We had gone to visit some friends in the Madison/Hamilton area. We wanted to look for a place that the windmills could be viewed and place a cache there. It had rained just before we got there and then the sun started to come out. We found a great location right on the side of Route 20 that you can view them from and then it happened, a rainbow appeared. While I was logging out of c:geo on my phone to get to the camera, a second rainbow appeared, I find it to be a very rare opportunity to get a photo of the windmills with a double rainbow over them. I will attach a photo for your pleasure once I figure out how.
The cache is hidden right on the roadside and there is no need to go onto the farm land here. Please do not trespass. Traffic moves at high speeds along this road and children probably should not be outside of the car here without a very tight reign on them. This should be a quick cache and dash.
