Geocache Description:

This cache is located Just off the Canalway Bike Trail at lock 21. It is now down the road just about 75 - 100 feet.

There are 2 choices of parking for this one.  If you are planning to look for the cache at lock 22, I recommend that you access this area via Wood Creek Rd.


While on a walk along the canal recently, we stopped and talked to the "lock master."  During our conversation, we were told that there are camping sites along the barge canal for use of anyone, but especially for bicyclists of the Canalway Bike Trail.  This cache brings you near one of those areas.  This is also one of the few areas along the bikeway where the path is paved for several miles.  Take a moment to read about some of the history of the canal system.
