Knagur Green: Due to no response from the CO after the request to maintain or replace the cache, I am archiving it to, stop it showing on the listings and/or to create place for the geocaching community.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Geocache Description:

A Multicache on the top of Spioenkop

The listed coordinates are for the car park on the top of Spioenkop, from here you will need to follow the guided trail to the South Lancashire Fusiliers Memorial. Once there, you will need to walk a set distance on a set bearing to the location of the final cache.

In order to get to the car park you will need to pass through the gates. The entrance fee to the Battle site is R25 per adult and R12 per child.


The Battle of Spioenkop
The Battle of Spioenkop was fought about 38 km west-south-west of Ladysmith on the hilltop of Spioenkop along the Tugela River, Natal in South Africa from 23 to 24 January 1900. It was fought between the South African Republic and the Orange Free State on the one hand and British forces during the Second Boer War during the campaign to relieve Ladysmith and resulted in a British defeat.

The Puzzle

You will need to find the South Lancashire Fusiliers memorial

Once at the memorial, you will need to walk 36m on a bearing of 261 degrees to the final cache
