There is parking nearby for this hide (at the lodge), no need to go off the path - cache can be reached from the main trail. Be aware that the park gates are only open from 8-4 and road is occasionally closed due to bear activity.
Minnekhada Regional Park is a beautiful area for a picnic, quick walk or a full day hike. The lodge is also open most Sundays from 1-4. They sell snacks, provide a free craft for the kids and some historical background about the lodge. We chose this as the scene of our first geocache with the kids since it is where we were married. Hope you enjoy the park as much as we do.
