Tom and JT’s Pot Luck Extravaganza

The Event will be held from 12 noon - 3 pm - ish (That all depends when everyone is gone!!)

   JT and I (and the rest of the Thomassen family) are holding a get together to thank those who hid caches around our area and out.  Those whom did this has helped us reach our goal of 2000 cache finds in a year.  There will be some food, a raffle of donated items, talking, gabbing and an extra surprise at the end of the event.  On top of all this it is International Geocaching Day!  You will be able to get souvenir on your profile for logging a smiley the day of the event!

Now for the details of the event at hand….

•     This is a pot luck so bring what ever meat you want to eat (I will be manning the grill) and please bring a side dish or dessert to share (please post what you are planning on bringing on your “will attend” log.  This way other cachers know what to bring so we don’t end up having 10 bowls of baked beans…LOL.)  You will have to bring your own place setting and plastic wear.  (Sorry, I am on a very limited income.)  

•     I will supply the water for people to drink.  Again, it is up to you to bring a drink if you do not want to drink water.  

•   
  
   There will be a raffle of some items.  The winner of each item will be announced toward the end of the event.  Tickets will be sold as follows:  $1.00 = 1 ticket, $5 = 8 tickets, $10 = 18 tickets and $20 = 30 tickets.  Proceeds to this raffle will be donated to the OKIC (Ohio Kentucky & Indiana Cachers Organization.)  If you would like to donate any items to be raffled off, please, e-mail me on what you plan on donating to this cause!)

•     At the very end of the event I will hand something special to those cachers that have attended the event as an extra bonus for coming.

    There will be plenty of parking near the event site.  There is also a play ground equipment very close to the pavilion where the event will be held for the little ones to play while the adults enjoy the event.  There are public bathrooms nearby also, if they will be needed.

    You may want to bring walking shoes or a bike to get the caches that are in the area (close to 40+ caches in the area to be found. Given you haven’t found them yet.)  A kayak also will be handy for those who like kayaking.  We are close to the Great Miami River for those enthusiast!  I also strongly propose people try “Web-ling's Evil 100th Multi - GCNACP” while you are in the area.  It is a good multi for people to try and complete.  I also have a multitude of new caches in the area also!  So, there is plenty in the area for cachers to grab a cache or two while here in the Hamilton/Fairfield area!

 P.S.  Be sure to bring some round circular signature thingies (Pathtags) and trackables to trade with other cachers while you are at the event!
