During the winter parking is available at N52 52.269 W118 03.733. Garbage and washroom facilities available. During the summer the road is open and parking is available at N52 52.784 W118 03.789
Walking the trail 4a and all of the other trails in the park you will come across many wildflowers and shrubs. Some examples are: Harebell-Bluebell, Wild Blue Flax and the Calypso Orchid. Be very careful as trampling near the Calypso orchids can kill the plant. One of my favorites during the summer is the Gaillardia ( Browneyedsusan) All plants are to be enjoyed and then left for the next people to enjoy. Please do not pick or disturb the plants.
PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAIL TO PROTECT ALL PLANTS AND FLOWERS.
In this area there has been a count of 996 vascular plants. 243 mosses, 407 lichens and 53 liverworts. See if you can spot some.
If you are doing this cache in the winter enjoy the snow and the fresh, clean and probably cold air.
In accordance with Jasper National Park guidlines no trading items or things that might attract wildlife are to be left in this cache. No TB's of any kind allowed. Please note: This cache can be reached from the trail.
