THIS INTERNATIONAL GEOCACHING DAY EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL GEOCACHERS.
As part of Mesquites 125th anniversary celebration, the City of Mesquite and Historic Mesquite Inc. developed the Mesquite Q125 Geocache Challenge. On August 18th International Geocaching Day, the City of Mesquite will celebrate the conclusion of their Q-125 Geocache Challenge, at the Florence Ranch House, 1424 Barnes Bridge Road, Mesquite, Texas 75149. The event will begin at 10 a.m.
During the City of Mesquite’s Q-125 challenge, geocachers were asked to log 25 geocaches and submit their log sheets to the Parks and Recreation Department. The logs that were completed with all 25 geocaches correctly entered have been placed into a drawing for a $125 gift certificate to Academy Sports & Outdoors. The winner will be chosen at the Q-125 Geocache Event on August 18th and there will be additional door prizes for those in attendance.
Also, geocachers who log an “Attended” at an event cache or a “Found it” for another cache type on International Geocaching Day earn a souvenir for their Geocaching.com profile page. International Geocaching Day is a perfect occasion to come out to Florence Ranch House to celebrate a fun new sport with the City of Mesquite.
