Le château actuel, reconstruit en 1820 pour remplacer celui que les prussiens avaient detruit, a été acheté et agrandi par le comte Vigier en 1872. Il a été de 1960 à 2002 la propriété de l'Institut Biblique Européen qui en a fait un centre de formation religieux. La municipalité l'a acquis début 2005
