Geocache Description:

Horseshoe Court at the Stockton Sailing Club

Small camo'd container with log only.

Do NOT attempt to access cache from the Sailing Club property.  Please return cache as found.

A part of our horseshoe courts series, this court was a surprise discovery when hunting for a sailing photo to add to our "Let's Go Sailing" cache (GC2NQ50) in the Buckley Cover area.  The court is on the grounds of the Stockton Sailing Club, but the cache will be accessed from the public park.

The Stockton Sailing Club is one of the several parts of the Buckley Cove area, located at the west end of March Lane.  Also found here is Buckley Cove Park, Ladd's Marina, River Point Landing, and Buckley Cove Fishing Access (boat launch).  A delightful picnic area is located in the Park, which lies along the San Joaquin River/Deep Water Channel.  You're bound to spot folks out fishing along the Channel, and it is not uncommon to see boating activity of various sorts, ranging from small sail boats to huge ocean freighters.

For access to this and our other two geocaches in the Park, you may park along the road just outside Buckley Cove Park and walk to the cache, or you can pay the park fee and drive on through the gate to pick up the cache(s), then enjoy a picnic in the park.  After the park toll house closes in the evening, you may enter free of charge. (If you park along March Lane outside the park entrance, be certain to lock valuables in the trunk and leave nothing of value visible within you car.)
