Just enough walk to feel like you got a stretch on your legs, not enough to require special shoes.
This cache is located .7 miles down a great little walking trail. You will take Conconully Highway to Hess Lake Road, and continue down the dirt road until you get to the Scotch Creek Wildlife area. Flat terrain and gorgeous landscape, this is a great area for four season visiting. The cache is not currently winter friendly, although I have had some great cross county skis in this area and it might be worthwhile to give it a winter hiding spot. Hmmm... an upgrade might be in order.
We actually hid this cache a few weeks ago but somehow it didn't get published and we erased the coordinates. Ugh! The good news is it gave a great excuse to do the walk again, this time in perfect evening weather - long sky sun making deep green textured fields, with bright white topped grasses, then sun setting over purple mountains, gigantic moon in the deepening blue sky, and grasshoppers jumping everywhere! Sometimes mistakes turn into the best blessings. Congrats to Trapper and me for FTF on this AND Popped at Keystone! Trapper made a good note that a Discover Pass is needed for this cache, so don't forget to bring yours!
