Located near Livermore Falls, the site of the ruins of an 1888 mill and several replacements which followed. For more details on Historical Site #14 (signed on US Rt 3) see: http://www.camptonhistorical.org/Livermore%20Falls%20marker%20flyer.pdf
Because there is a railroad (infrequently used) near the falls, the cache is not placed at the falls itself. It could be a rather quick park and grab where it is.
If you decide to go down to the falls, be aware that there are some dangerous ruins of the old mill and this would not be a safe place for small children unless they are in your arms. There is also some poison ivy along the trail to the falls.
The area above the falls is a fishing and swimming hole in the late summer when the Pemigewassett River is low. At other times, the river can be quite dangerous. Do not attempt to run the falls with tubes or canoes - numerous people have been hurt. The falls are not very vertical but are long and can be treacherous.
