This cache is dedicated to a wonderful coworker and fantastic friend of mine (who happened to help pick the very spot this cache is hidden in). He has been with me for a couple of finds and has embraced the concept of geocaching. On numerous occasions, he has said that he hopes that he is remembered, and what better way to do that than with a geocache?
This geocache is located within Davis Johnson Park & Gardens in the borough of Tenafly, NJ. This 7+ acre site contains beautiful gardens and paths including a redesigned rose garden. The majority of this land was acquired by the town in the 1960s with a smaller portion acquired in 1993. This park contains a greenhouse, maintenance area, meeting room, gazebo, brick patio, and walking paths.
The park has the following regulations posted:
No Alcoholic Beverages
No Animals / Pets
No Ball Playing
No Cutting / Removal of Plants
Please Stay On Paths
Please Park Cars / Bicycles In Designated Areas
The gardens are open from 10:00am - Sunset.
If you're looking for a wedding site or for photos, a permit is required.
This should go without saying, but please be careful not to disturb or destroy the local flora while seeking this cache. There is no need to. When retrieving this cache, please note that part of the cache container is permanently affixed to its hiding place. Please unscrew the main portion of the cache and replace as found. The cache contains only a log so please bring your own writing implement. You may also find tweezers very helpful in removing the log from the container. If the log is filling up or gets wet and is no longer usable, please mention it in your post so I can swap it out!
