Hidden within .2 miles of my first (and only active non baseball) hide "Within Range." Close to the driving range, but only Tiger Woods could hit one this far. What does this have to do with baseball? I'm not really sure-I just wanted to hide one over here. You're looking for a small tupperware container. I must confess I like this one more than most of my hides.
Inspired by Düg's annual baseball series, I've created a simple geocaching home run derby. How many home runs can you belt out of the park this season?
I'll be releasing a new cache every week. After it's published, you will have roughly a week to find it and select a baseball player (I will post specific dates and deadlines with each cache). This is optional of course and as long as you find the container you can log your success for all fellow geocachers to see.
Name one player and include his name in your log. The number of home runs he hits the following week is your score (don't worry, I'll handle all the number crunching).
The "catch" is every player must be unique, so FTF has choice of any player, even any Padre sluggers. STF has second choice, and so on.
Any geocachers making the find through Sunday, August 12th are eligible and the scoring will occur from Monday, August 13th through Sunday, August 19th.
