This is an extension of the Old Road series (#1 thru #8) placed by “Olsenr” in August of 2011.
It is the old Highway 99 which was the main E/W route before Interstate 10 was built just to the north. You will be between the freeway and the railroad tracks but none of these caches are near the tracks. This road is paved but no longer maintained and narrow in places. The west end of this road is not paved and very rough so it is best to enter the old road from the Malki Road exit #103 between cache Old Road West#1 and Old Road #1. Since the west end is rough and there is not a lot of room to turn around when the pavement ends this area is not suitable for vehicles towing, campers, large R.V.'s, etc.
Please keep a sharp lookout of the critters that call this area home.
