Geocache Description:

ENGLISH

Welcome on the Champagne half timbered churches Trail. There is a grouping of religious buildings unlike any other in France: ten churches and a chapel built entirely of timber between the late 15th and 18th centuries. All the churches are equipped with geocaches officials. Multi, tadi, mystery, from the nano to the regular, there is something for everybody !

This church, built ca. 1510, is one of the most endearing in the Der. Architecturally similar to its neighbour in Lentilles, the roofs feature a wide range of materials, including chestnut shingles and laths on the gable, Roman tiles on the porch, flat tiles on the nave and slate on the bell tower.
The seven 19th-century stained-glass windows of the apse and nave bear their donors’ names.
