Geocache Description:

This should be a nice quick find.  It is my first geocache so please be gentle with me.  As the cache was placed during the London Olympics, I have included a gold medal I won at the Police and Emergency games recently.

In the cemetary of this old church you will find several magnificent examples of the Supressus sempervirens (cypress).  These trees have long symbolised death and dying.  They are a traditional tree symbolising mourning in several religions.  They symbolise death probably due to their inability to regenerate if cut back too severely.  They are also used traditionally as an air fragrance at cremations.  I hope that you do not have any need of their symbolism any time soon...
