Geocache Description:

A cache along another of my dead end roads.

Burma Road was cut off by the construction of Interstate 80 in the 1960s.  There are presently a few houses around the beginning of the road, then the road deteriates as it descends into the wilderness.  A regular car can get down as far as the cache location and there is room to turn around right next to the cache.  Not many vehicles per week go by this spot, so you can take your time. If you want to go all the way to the bottom of the road, I recommend something with more road clearance.  The woods down here look and feel wild, but yet you can hear interstate traffic.  The continuation of the road on the other side of I-80 is now called Kraska Road.

While this cache is not right next to facilities, it is fairly close to the establishments along PA 93.  You need to leave 93 for a side road to get to Burma Road.

Aug. 25, 2019: I have replaced the original container that was here; it was lost when the power company cleared a right of way along the road for a new pole line going to a new house a few hundred feet down the road. The new location is similar to the other one, and actually closer to the road. I raised the terrain rating because of the nasty footing. The cache container is now a lock & lock with a few goodies. New coordinates: 41*01.691' 076*06.336'
