Perdana Park is one of Kota Kinabalu's newest parks, and has a little something for everyone. Now it has a geocache as well!
Built on 16 acres, this park has a large children's play area, several exercise stations with interesting machines, and three walking/jogging/lazy strolling tracks. This park is handicapped-friendly as well! There is a small lake/pond in the middle of the park, part of which is illuminated with a musical water fountain show every evening (at 7pm, 7:30pm, 8pm and 8:30pm). There is also a drinking water fountain so you can quench your thirst...and it actually works! Several restaurants stand by ready to satisfy your hunger as well. The grounds are well-maintained and beautifully landscaped.
For you backpackers and other tourists: If you are flying in or out of Terminal 2 (Air Asia and other budget airlines), the park is an easy 1/2-km walk from the terminal. Just head to the main road and cross the street! (This is the only entrance to the park, by the way.) The park is open from 6am to 10pm.
You are looking for a nano magnetic cache (bring your own pen). Please try to replace it exactly as you found it. Have fun and enjoy this great park!
Congrats to BernGPS for being the FTF!
