The Black Canyon Beach Luau event was originally started by our good friend,Mike Davis aka River Cacher, who passed away last year. If he was still alive I guarantee the event would be held on this day for the icon, since he loved to make everyone happy. So make him happy and come attend the event in his honor and meet others who share the same passion as you. If you weren't able to come last year, hopefully this year will work out better. If you've never come to an event before, now's your chance!! Come one, come all.
This years event will be in a different area at Black Canyon State Park and will include:
* Event to start officially at 2 PM
* New special souvenir on your profile page
* MEGA GEOCOIN RAFFLE - Bring your extra new NON ACTIVATED coins and/or non trackable coins for your chance to win. For every coin you put in, you get a certain amount of tickets, depending upon whether its trackable or not. The more coins you put in, the more tickets you get, the better chance to win. There will be 3 winners total. You might even win more than once.
* Bingo Games
* GPS Accuracy Game (looking for a volunteer to head this game)
* Opportunity to meet other fellow cachers and swap geocaching stories
* POTLUCK DINNER at 4:30 PM. This year is going to be a POTLUCK DINNER - Please bring your favorite dish and plan to eat some other scrumptious goodies!! Big Ron will be smoking some kind of meat on his Traeger grill there, but we would like others to help us by bringing a salad, casserole and/or dessert. Please bring your own drinks too.
* If we get enough raffle items, we will have a raffle after dinner
This event will be hosted in a campground that is not reserved but is on a first come, first serve basis. We will be going early to get our spot. The camp host and ensured us there is room for many cachers there :D
