This cache was originally part of Rubypuppy's "Woodland Trail" series of caches, which has now been expanded to cover more of the Woodland Trail and also provide more and varied caches. Each cache in the series contains a piece of information that is needed to locate the Campus Trail: The Bonus Cache, so don't forget to make a note of that when you locate this cache. Please note that the old series Bonus Cache is no more, so any Bonus Cache information previously obtained from this cache is of no use. Sorry!
This cache was altered slightly in Sept 2013, and is now in new hiding place in a different container. Please rehide well. It holds a logbook and has room for some small swaps.
The Woodland Trail: Motorway Side

This section of the Woodland Trail is very close to the M6 motorway, which provides a deafening backdrop to the otherwise peaceful woodland. The older path follows a lower route southwards from this cache location, very close to the M6 boundary fence. It is noisy and muddy all year round. A better path heads up, back towards the perimeter road to run along a wood-chipped and boardwalked route at the top of a wooded embankment. The embankment was created when the new University campus was first being built in 1964 from the material that was excavated during the construction of the nearby underpass.
