Geocache Description:

This is Sams first cache,it is placed in Mayals woodland which has many firsts for Sam.It is the woodland that was outside his bedroom window .It was the woodland that we took Geodog for his first walk and is still one of the woodlands we pass every day.

The cache is a small clip lock box wrapped in a waterproof camo bag and placed just off the path that runs through the woodland.The woodland is quite small but has a very diverse range of flora and fauna due to the local residents tipping garden waste in the entrance to the woods.There are all sorts of flowers and if you look carefuly you'll find vegetables too.The woods are home to bats,and are frequented by foxes and domestic cats.People often take their dogs through here for a walk.During school drop off and pick up there are lots of muggles aroud and little chance of parking.Parking is in the laybys on the main road or on street parking of which there is plenty on the main road.There is also a Pedestrian crossing if you park on the opposite side of the road to the woodland
The entrance path from Fairwood road can be very muddy after rain as there is an underground stream that saturates the ground.The paths leading to the top of the wood are dry even during rain.
The cache contains a log book and pencil in a strip seal bag and numerous swaps,there is also a travel bug inside.
This cache is aimed at kids so is relatively easy to find, but not too easy.
