Geocache Description:

UPDATE - June 2015: Replaced this cache today, with new coordinates about 30 ft. from previous home which was logged and cleared out last year. Also changed from a Medium size to a LARGE! Lots of SWAG. This is a large container with bark covering it very near Fallen Leaf Lake Campground. There are several paths leading to the lake that cross near GZ, so stealth may be required. Bug repellent is always good (we use dryer sheets - yes, Bounce)!

We camp here almost every summer.  It's simply the best!

Some of our favorites:
Easy hike nearby is Cascade Falls (parking at Bayview Campground). Even lighter walk is Rainbow Trail at Taylor Creek Visitor Center.

Bring extra bacon and tie a string around it and catch a crawfish at the Fallen Leaf Lake/Taylor Creek dam.  The kids love this!

Swimming is better (seems a little warmer) in Tahoe if you cross hwy 89 at the Tallac Historical Site to their free parking area. Or Pope Beach is just down the hwy, if you don't mind paying a $6.00 to park.

Check out Lower Glen Alpine Falls (on the other side of Fallen Leaf Lake) in spring/early summer.

Don't forget to save a little cash for the ice cream parlor in Camp Richardson.
