Geocache Description:

Third in a series of caches that remind me of home in some way.

Okay, really, my whole life does not revolve around food, whatever you might think.  But it does seem to be that one of the things that can most quickly cure homesickness is the taste or smell of something familiar - regardless of quality.  Nostalgia is weird.

This cache is placed not too far from another Southern California chain restaurant that was everywhere where I grew up, but has only recently appeared in this area.  There was one just around the corner from my house, and while I never worked for this particular company, many of my friends had their first jobs with them.   One friend in particular had her first job at the restaurant around the corner, and the rest of our crowd went by often to purchase shakes, not because we particularly liked them, but because at the time, they were hand-made and took forever, and we knew it was a pain for the employees.  We were pretty mean sometimes.

UPDATE: Well, the business that gave inspiration for this particular hide has gone away, but the cache itself is still there. If you don't know the name of the business in question, feel free to ask.
Congrats to kperry1911 & crew on FTF!
