lpyankeefan: Time to put this listing to rest.

I'm culling the herd a bit to allow for a bit more fun this year. No sense in spending good money after bad to keep replacing the same old cache hide(s) when i could just as easily place NEW hides for others to search for and claim NEW smilies.

In the meantime if this cache is missing then by all means if YOU would like to place a new cache here then do so. I know I'd like to hunt for new caches in the area. If the cache IS still in place then I will pick it up on my next visit to the area and will post an "Owner Maintenance" log stating that I've picked it up for recycling or disposal as necessary.

Thanks for hunting friends. In the meantime, in the words of Sting "Consider me gone......"

Geocache Description:



MN+JD <3

Just a nice little micro near one or the more picturesque spots within the park. Please do bring a camera and post photos to the cache page if you wish.

Cache is a 35mm film canister containing a stashnote explaining geocaching and a few logsheets, but no writing utensil so BYOP. It should be a quick find.

This cache is DNR approved and is hidden in the McKeldin Area of Patpasco State Park. There is a modest fee to enter the park: $2 per person in-state, $3 per person out-of-state. Please park in the parking lot near the Falls Overlook and walk down the McKeldin Rapids Trail to ground zero. Please note that the cache IS NOT at the overlook. To access the cache site please follow the trail downhill to the pool area BELOW the falls. ABSOLUTELY NO CLIMBING of the hillside is necessary. Cache is secreted in the roots of the tree which the hint refers to. Please do use stealth as muggle concentrations here can be high at times. ABSOLUTELY NO SWIMMING OR WADING in the river due to dangerous undercurrents.
