It is also home to many bird species including the:
White Faced Heron, Black Shouldered Kite, Swamp Harrier, Clamorous Reed Warbler, Black-tailed Native Hen, Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo, Richard’s Pipit, European Goldfinch, Scarlet Robin, Black Duck, White Ibis, Dusky Moorhen. Corellas, Parrots, Lorikeets, Magpies, Blue Fairy Wrens and many more.
Don’t be alarmed if you see the odd Common Brown, Copperhead or Tiger Snake in Summer, leave it alone and it will go home, just back off quietly until it leaves, it will be more interested in the frogs : )
