The Welsh word Taten gives an idea of the appearance of the cache. The cache is accessed from The Surgeon's Walk, that follows the line of the Ogwen river through Parc Meurig in Bethesda. The shortest and easiest way is from Bethesda High street next to Arafa Don and across the river Ogwen on a foot bridge before forking left.
It is an easy forest walk on a good surface, with a little incline of the path just before reaching the cache area. The ease of access falls somehwat short of being wheel-chair accessible. At its other end, the walk has steeper and slightly mudy sections before opening onto the B4409. As tree cover makes the GPS positioning somewhat eratic, an extra delineator is that the cache is on the ground, in the open and about 4 feet from the left edge of the path (going up hill). The cache container size is nearer micro than small. It contains a log but no pen, pencil or treasure.
