Walt Elten - Unterer Niederrhein Traditional Cache

Team Lucky Ladybug: Because people just can't close a container and it's already the third time a new logbook is fully wett and soaked within a few monthes, we decided to archive this cache.

You may look it up if you are quick enough, the next time we go on grocery shopping in the area (a monthly business), we are going to clean it up and leave the area to nature.

We were very happy to have and maintain this cache, but it's time for a new one, closer by our home.

Thanks to everyone who logged this cache and also who helped us out during covid time. We had a fun time with it.

NEDERLANDS De Nederrijn (regio) (Duits: Niederrhein) is het geografische gebied in Duitsland dat grenst aan het zuidoosten van Nederland. Het landschap van de Niederrhein is vlak met een weidse horizon en een hoge lucht. Verschillende Nederlandse landschapschilders hebben zich door het speciale licht laten inspireren. Bijvoorbeeld de 19e-eeuwse romantische landschapsschilder B.C. Koekkoek liet in Kleef zijn atelier bouwen.
De coordinaten kunnen iets afwijken, het is lastig te stellen onder het bladerdek. Maar het moet goed te doen zijn.

DEUTSCH Die Region Niederrhein, verkürzt auch der Niederrhein, ist eine an die Niederlande grenzende Region im Westen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen. Sie ist allerdings zu unterscheiden von dem gleichnamigen unteren Rheinabschnitt, zu dessen beiden Seiten sie sich erstreckt; der Flussabschnitt Niederrhein beginnt bereits weiter südöstlich an der Siegmündung. Auch die naturräumliche Definition des Niederrheins als nördlicher Teil der Niederrheinischen Bucht unterscheidet sich, weil dabei entgegen dem allgemeinen Sprachgebrauch auch Teile des zentralen Rheinlandes einbezogen werden, von derjenigen der Region Niederrhein.
