This cache was made by Mrs Kalkun's dad, who, with her mother, was here visiting.
The visit from the parents-in-law got me thinking about sayings that adults say to children. I will share one that my parents always said to me:
"You'd lose your head if it wasn't screwed on!"
It was said when I was being scatter-brained or forgetful. I never understood it, because, I knew that my head wasn't really screwed on. But then I would always take everything too literally.
This cache is an easy traditional. But an optional task is to share on your log any sayings that adults in your childhood said to you. You don't have to translate it from your native language, but if you could explain it (in your own language) it would be nice. Some of these sayings certainly won't translate very well.
