Geocache Description:

Decatur is the county seat of Wise County, Texas. It has a historic square. The Courthouse is one of the most photogenic in the state. The nickname Eighter From Decatur was originally "Ada " from Decatur, a dice rolling gentlemen's good luck phrase, reference to his girlfriend. About 1900, a train load of troops going to Manassas to take part in a re-enactment of that Civil War battle passed through Decatur & picked up the phrase changing Ada to Eighter in hopes of a hard eight.
