Geocache Description:

The container is a camoed 35mm film canister.  BYOP

Oakland, MD is proud of its walking/biking path. You are invited to take a nice relaxing stroll or bike ride along four miles of beautiful scenic trails, that will take you from the Farmers Market in downtown Oakland past  Washington Spring where it is said George Washington once drank the spring's water. The walking /biking path is paved and includes several small bridges crossing small waterways. It is free from motorized vehicles. This cache is a short walk from the path over looking a glade.
Plans are in the works for extending this walking/biking path from the Glades Town Park to the historic Fort Alice site, where a historic reinactment is planned for April 25-28, 2013.
