Bombed 106 Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Bombed 106 refers to this old orange hall away out in South Armagh countryside. Formerly Levins School, it was acquired by Ballymoyer LOL 106 just after the Second World War and used up until June 1973 when a bomb was placed at the door by the IRA and the hall was destroyed.
Since there was never electricity nor running water at the hall, there seemed little point in restoring it.
A site was found on the Ballymoyer Rd and a new hall was opened in 1984.
The cache is a small canister approx 1.5 x 4 inches and contains only a log so BYOP. A member of the lodge knows it is there.
