Geocache Description:

This is my first Cache deployment. I made it a bit simple, but hopefully not too simple.

Stage one is at given coords. Standard P&G location. This area is not too bad for muggle traffic, though you should still use stealth. Plenty of parking nearby both locations.

Stage one is a small pill container including the second half of hint to stage two location. (Please disregard the log. I got a little carried away during placement.)

Rating is more for Stage two.

Stage two is a small camouflaged waterproof container w/ log & pencil (again, byop). There is also room for some small tradables or trackables. Once you have the coordinate clue from stage one, add .036 to the North coords and Subtract .013 from the West coords for the actual location (see geocheck.org for confirmation of location).

So Anywhoo, on to the story...

"The Horse"
This property (currently Millennium Park Shopping Center) was once home to the Ladbroke DRC (Detroit Race Course).
It opened in 1950 and Livonia Township became the city of Livonia to qualify for revenue from the new track.
For various reasons, the track was closed and demolished in 1998.

"Technicolor"
In 1989, Technicolor built one of their video tape packaging plants on the property adjacent to the former race track.
In 1939, The Wizard of Oz was released, being almost entirely filmed in... You guessed it, Technicolor.
The actor Frank Morgan who's primary role was none other than The Great and Powerful Oz also had other roles in the movie.
Two of these other roles (The Guardian of the Emerald City and the Carriage driver), used the phrase, "That's a horse of a different color!".

And that my friends, is how I came upon the theme/ name of my first cache.
Hope I didn't bore you too badly with all that, but the idea came to me, and I just couldn't let it go.

Congratulations to June17th for FTF!!! (and thanks again for the corrections)
