placed this cache at the rowing course. the lake was built on the forth river in 1969 to provide a head of water for devils gate power station.
lake barrington is the site of a world-standard rowing course. it hosted the 1990 world rowing champingships and hosts the annual tasmania schools head of the river rowing regatta and has hosted several australian rowing championships.
lake barrington has hosted the australian championships in 1984,1987,1990,1994,1997,2003,2006,2009.
This cache is up a hill but there is a good veiw of the rowing course up here.
