[RO] Muzeul de locomotive cu aburi Sibiu a fost inaugurat în 1994 şi prezintă peste 35 de exponate, printre care locomotive cu aburi, fabricate între anii 1885 – 1959. Două dintre aceste locomotive sunt funcţionale şi folosite în diverse ocazii.
Muzeul se află lângă gara CFR Sibiu, şi denotă o atmosferă aparte, vintage, datorită locomotivelor expuse în aer liber, aflate în degradare.
Cu toate că la intrare se află un semn pe care stă scris “2 lei taxă de intrare”, nu are rost să vă pierdeţi timpul căutând paznicul, căci niciodată nu e de găsit. În schimb, faceţi-vă timp să admiraţi aceste vestigii ale trecutului pentru că nu se ştie cât timp vor mai fi acolo pentru noi.
[EN] The Steam Locomotive Museum in Sibiu was inaugurated in 1994 and presently has over 35 exhibits consisting in steam locomotives built between 1885 and 1959. Two of them are functional and used at special occasions.
The Museum is located near the Sibiu rail station, and exhibits a vintage atmosphere due to the fact that all the locomotives are left at the mercy of rain and sun corrosion.
Although there is a sign on which it is written a 2 lei fee entrance, you should not waste your time looking for the guardian, as he is never there. Instead, take all your time to admire these true remains of the past, who knows how long there will be here for us?
