Learning To Drive On The Deep Creek Road Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements.

Geocache Description:

Deep Creek, was settled in the 1840's, by Sam Woody & other pioneer families. In fact it was the first settlement in Wise County, Texas. The "Woody Cabin" used to be just to the north about 3 miles. It has been restored & moved to the Wise County Heritage Museum, in Decatur. As a child I would visit my grandparents who lived to the south about a mile from this cache. Every time they took me back to Decatur, they would let me drive. It goes without saying, I loved this road. The cache is a medium cameo cache, it contains a route 66 pin, a bald eagle pin, a geo compass coin, & other swag. Enjoy the view!
