Geocache Description:


This cache is based in the quiet village of upper layham(raydon side)not lower layham(polstead side)as the river brett cuts layham in half. Mill lane is the turn off the main road(1070 hadleigh bound)and parking is ample on brett green and surrounding estate. Follow your nose to bottom of either road to find the park,a slide and swings etc for the kids. Look over to the footy pitch and wander along to the bottom end of the field (farthest goal on your left)until you see a sign denoting no dog fouling. This is a horse shoe 300 metre walk in a nature area(otter holt and log pile for stag beetles and bugs.) Within 25 metres you meet your landmark! Rest a while on the bench and if quiet otters can be seen, ssshhhhh!. When rested and facing the river brett point with your right hand and follow a dead end path for 4 to 5 metres to a little tree with a man made feature. Please date and pics great. Note at swings end through gate is an old mill,worth a look!!
