Geocache Description:

Well, it is a bit more than a 100 acres but close.  A total of 120 acres is in this one field.  Wonder if Pooh is living in the woods by the creek?

This field is located in Boaz, KY on the edge of Mayfield Creek and bordered by Eddie Creek (small creek to the west). Carter Concrete operated just across the creek for many years.   It has now moved out to Hwy 45.  A local man (Humpy) built Boaz a gym.  He was crazy for the game of Basketball and loved to play.  Many nights you could find the gym full of local people young and old playing a game of basketball.  This gym burned down several years ago.

Also, just south of here  is the spot that stored some of the ammunition for World War II.  It was called the Bomb Bunkers.  There were several pits that were lined with concrete that were called bunkers.  Several years ago they were still visible.

The Purchase Area Industral Park is being developed just north and west of here.

Hope you enjoy this area of North Graves County.  I left a travel bug in the cache for the first to find.

Happy Caching trails to you!
