I placed a half-way cache in the middle of the 1048 wooden steps from the start to finishing the last step at the top! If you have climbed the tram before and know that for every 100 steps, there are number markings in white on the metal tracks to let you know where you are at....
To make it more fun, you can find the cache without your GPS by just climbing the stairs and count each step from the start to get you to the middle of the 1048 steps (cache is at the 524 steps) give or take one or two cause one of the steps as you near GZ were really worn down... Or you can just find the 500th step markings and count your way to the cache hide! The cache is before the wooden tram bridge so if you past it...you have gone too far. Please wear proper foot wear and bring lots of water and a hat cause there is no shade and it can get really not in the middle of the day. The cache is magnetic and holds only a logsheet so please bring your own pen. If you feel strong enough you can head up to GC2WVFK King of the HIll.. again! Once at GZ, take a break and leave room for other hikers to pass thru. Please use extreme stealth when retrieving the cache and remember to place it back exactly at the hint!
