This cache is in the Yankee Springs Recreation Area. Recreation Passport or daily fee required.

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. To find this cache, you must first find the other three caches in the series.

Choose your landing spot carefully...or bring waders. There are a lot of mucky spots here.


I've had 6 FTFs in the last two months on island/kayak caches. The strange thing about all but one of them is they had been sitting unfound for at least a couple of weeks (almost 6 weeks for the first one) without any attempts. This seemed odd to me. So, I put on my gray-matter accelerator cap and I think I figured out why...

Most cachers probably believe it isn't worth their time to get a boat, cart it to the launch, spend up to an hour rowing/paddling to the cache, for just one
I have the solution.
