This Cache does not need deactivating as the cache is still there. I will get to it asap to check and maybe update. Another of my stunning walks through the finest countryside of our beloved cannock chase.
For this one I suggest you park or start from castle Ring to take advantage of the walk and the stunning scenery. Getting to a from the cache is fairly easy but you may need to leave the paths to find the GZ
You are looking for a small black tube around 2 inches long with a log book inside.
There is good access paths from castle ring to the site for walkers, pushchairs, pushbikes and dogs are welcome. It maybe a bit of a trek for little legs though. The cache is located off the foot paths/road so if you have no help a pushchair is definately not advisable due to the thick terrain in the summer months.
There is a small fenced off area nearby by which is marked 'danger'. Do not be tempted to climb over the barbed wire fence and have a look inside the well. It's still full of water and is a horizontal well with a roof over. By all means stand by the fence and have a look but again, please do not go inside.
