Troop 500 Dripping Springs Cache Traditional Cache
Troop 500 Dripping Springs Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is a good sized ammo can (0.050 Cal.) with some great swag appropriate for this size of container. Something for everyone. Even a monkey for Spoons. Log is in coffee container.
Troop 500 was doing a service project overnighter at the nearby camp ground and planted this cache during the trip. This cache takes a little bit of a hike but not too bad. One section is rated as strenuous. Take the Dripping Springs trail. Please obey posted signs and stay out of the creek and creek bank areas where Arroyo (Endangered) Toads live. Use standard precautions for this type of environment. Watch for creepy crawlies, cliffs, unstable rocks, poison oak, cacti, flash floods, lightning,.... you know the typical out door stuff. Cache is off the trail (on the Vail Lake side) about 30 feet in. The quote on the lid of the cache was taken from "Spoons Intervention Cache" which was muggled by landscapers earlier this year. It was a nice little ammo can, I liked the quote and Spoons1 most definitely needs another intervention because the last one didn't take. Maybe Pactractor and MVHawks can tie him down until someone else finds this one. At least the location will prevent him from grabbing at lunch.
Starting goodies: New stainless water bottle, 2 decks of appropriate playing cards, 2 camo bandanas, and some other goodies. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Caching.
