Geocache Description:

Wa'ahila Ridge is one of the first hikes my wife and i did together. The first time was almost 15 years ago. We went almost to the "end" of the trail (not the Mt Olympus end!) and had a picnic at the "grassy knoll". Was one of our first "dates"!

So to us, this was the perfect place to put a cache. We were going to put it at the grassy knoll, but turns out there is a cache not too far from it. to be safe, we decided to just put one well away from all of the others so we didn't have a denied cache.

So this cache is about 30 minutes into the hike.

This cache container was given to us by Dadwraps! Months ago when we first started caching we were over in Kailua and doing one of the President series, we were walking along the road and up drives Dadwraps, he goes "you find it?" we had never met any other cachers yet so it was a pretty cool experience for us. we were talking about how much we loved it and how we hoped to someday place a cache of our own. He said "hold on a sec" went to his truck and then gave us this awesome ammo can!

We had intended for this to be our very first placement. However, it took FOREVER to get our pathtags and our other orders of nanos got here first! So we placed 4 nanos, two chew cans a m&m container a medicine bottle and one hide-a-key! So instead of this being our first cache, it ended up being our 10th :-)
