Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a walk over the top of Nicky Nook. A small clip lock container, contains a few swaps, but you will need your own pen.

This is a very popular footpath route to the top of Nicky Nook, with great aerial views of Grizedale Reservoir. A welcomed bench to break up the steep walk. On the edge of the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, protected for its heather moorland, blanket bog and rare birds. Please note the terrain rating for this cache, it is steep, if wet, it can be muddy and slippery too. Please walk carefully. We recommend finding the Nicky Nook caches from east to west, starting here and ending at the Wyresdale Wander meets Nicky Nook cache, as it is an easier walk and has better views.
