Geocache Description:

Great opportunity to geocache by boat or on foot. Lovely views from the shore of Britain's largest lake.

A challenge to reach this beautiful location, unless you have access to a small boat or fancy a walk, but well worth it for the views and natural charm. Cache is on land owned by the Greythwaite Hall estate, in a location which enjoys open public access popular for picnics by those who have found this beauty spot. Easiest access is by boat, but there is a gravel track which leads to the lake. Leave the road at grid ref SD37240 91149 and follow the track towards Lakeland Segway. It is a pleasant walk of about half a mile through the woods to the lake shore.
